Since 2007 the ideas of kite flying and having a kite flying competition on Ash Monday have become a reality with a beautiful celebration is held at Kommos Beach every year.
Many people from all over Messara come together with music, plenty of alcohol, traditional fasolada, a bean soup served to mark the beginning of lent, and lots of fun!
There’s an open spot for you every year!
